The Wallawwa Hotel, Sri Lanka
Our Opinion of The Wallawwa
The most recent Angelfish visitor to The Wallawwa was Liz.
For some, the transfer from Bandaranaike International Airport into Colombo can be a tiresome affair after a long-haul flight. The Wallawwa, then, is the perfect compromise; offering a serene haven to weary travellers set in seven acres of tropical gardens just 20 minutes from the airport. You can relax by the pool or partake in the daily complementary Yoga programme. We recommend the Wallawwa to those wishing for a luxurious boutique experience at the inception or closure of their Sri Lankan adventure. How Our Clients Rate The Wallawwa

The Wallawwa Summary
The Wallawwa takes residence in a restored, colonial mansion, with beautifully manicured lawns sprawling over 5 acres- the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Colombo. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, make use of the lawn's croquet set or simply recline on one of the garden's many loungers. Meanwhile, the rooms are light, spacious and air conditioned. All rooms boast a Balinese four poster bed, flat screen TV and rain showers in the bathrooms.
The Verandah is an open-sided dining pavilion looking over the mature gardens. Guests can dine on contemporary Asian fusion cuisine, made using home-grown herbs, vegetables and fruits, along with fresh local produce. All stays include breakfast, while Half Board and Full Board are available if desired.
The restaurant also welcomes outside diners, and is the perfect place for enjoying a last meal in Sri Lanka before a long haul flight.
The Z Spa has both single and double air-conditioned treatment rooms with open-air bathrooms, all of which radiate from a central courtyard. The spa has no set opening hours; therapists plan treatments to fit each guest's schedule. A variety of massages, wraps, and scrubs are available, including pre- and post-flight treatments.
Daily Yoga Programme available for guests to enjoy.
On-site activities include Sri Lankan cookery demonstrations, kitchen garden tours, and croquet. Both Negombo and Colombo are both less than an hour away, with numerous options for dining, shopping, and cultural tours available.
