Meet the Angelfish!

We are all passionate about travel, and love the Indian Ocean as a destination. We're frequent visitors to our destinations, so that our resort knowledge is always up-to-date and, we believe, second to none.

Jo Jones

Jo travelled extensively during her former career in equity sales, both on business and privately, and has a discerning eye for quality. As a keen golfer, Mauritius is her favourite destination in the Indian Ocean, though the Maldives (where she's visited over 100 islands and counting) feeds her snorkelling addiction. Jo is also our resident chef, so she lends an expert's view on gastronomy at our recommended resorts... and drop by to try one of her famous brownies!

Clare Hilson

Clare joined Angelfish in 2013 and now has 37 years of experience in the travel industry under her belt, in a variety of roles. Clare has travelled extensively over the years, including a round-the-world trip in 2001. Nowadays, when she's not chilling at one of her favourite resorts in the Indian Ocean, such as Constance Moofushi, she can usually be found gardening at home, or on a long walk, or in the pub. A life-long Liverpool FC supporter, Clare listens to all genres of music but classes herself as a rock chick!

Liz Dickinson

Liz's love for travel was fueled by back-packing Round the World trip in 2001 and she has travelled extensively with her family. Liz worked as a tailor-made travel consultant at an independent travel agent for 7 years before joining Angelfish. Liz is passionate about all travel, and loves tailor-making itineraries, especially to Sri Lanka and South Africa.

Dan Jones

Dan's former career was in financial markets but he's delighted to have swapped a dealing room for the hustle and bustle of a coral reef. If not snorkelling in the Maldives (on Milaidhoo Island ideally!) then he'd be playing golf in Mauritius, Abu Dhabi or South Africa. Dan also enjoys filming content for the Angelfish YouTube channel.

Kate Barnes

True crime fanatic with an eye for detail, Kate was born in Poland and moved to the UK over 20 years ago. Kate enjoys long countryside walks in the beautiful county of Kent and also likes to get her fair share of travel in. Some of her favourite destinations include Greece, Maldives and South Africa.

Alexis Wallace

Alexis is originally from the US, where she worked as a registered nurse prior to arriving in the UK in 2022. Her love for travel stems from yearly family holidays to the best of America's national parks, as well as time spent abroad during university. Alexis' current bucket list includes touring the cultural triangle in Sri Lanka and seeing the giant tortoises in the Seychelles.

Sarah Wates

Sarah joined Angelfish in 2022 with a background stretching from banking to soft furnishings. She loves yoga and is heavily involved in her local amateur dramatic group - but making things happen behind the scenes, just as she does with Angelfish! She has travelled to Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Greece), the far east (Bali and Hong kong), and the USA (Seattle, New York, Yellowstone, Montana and California) as well as Mauritius. She loves eating out and her ambition is to eat in as many Michelin starred restaurants as possible!
