Santani Wellness Resort & Spa

Located in the mountains northwest of Kandy, Santani Wellness Resort & Spa sits on a hillside on the site of an former tea plantation and features stunning views. The resort features award-winning minimalist architecture, with eye-catching linear designs that celebrates the views and minimizes distractions.

The tri-level spa is the largest in Sri Lanka, and has the island's first complete hydrotherapy facilities, complete with salt bath, sauna, and steam room. The spa focuses on Ayurvedic principles and guests can choose to partake in a completely personalized wellness package or simply indulge in a treatment or two.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and non-alcoholic beverages are included, as well as daily morning and evening group yoga and access to the spa hydrotherapy facilities.

Due to the tranquil nature of the resort, no children under 12 are permitted.

Accommodation

The resort has just 20 guestrooms, all featuring minimalist interiors and containing either a king-sized bed or twin beds. The 16 Mountain View Chalets are adult-only, while the four Garden View Chalets can be sold in pairs if needed to accommodate teens travelling with parents. No extra beds can be added to any chalet.

Dining

Dining at Santani is bespoke and personalised to each guest, whether they have signed up for a wellness package or not. Meals are designed to balance out the six tastes of Ayurveda - sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter and astringent - and to avoid food cravings. Guests staying on wellness packages will have their meals further customized.
