Our Opinion of Taj Exotica
Taj Exotica brings you all you would expect of a top Maldivian resort. With its spa and superb water villas, which are among the best in the Maldives, the resort has recently being refurbished and improved. Add to this impeccable service and fantastic cuisine and this resort is a delightful location to relax and rejuvenate or spend a memorable honeymoon. Great lagoon for watersports although devoid of fish meaning poor snorkelling off beach.
Taj Exotica Summary
The resort occupies an island called Emboodhu Finolhu, only 15 minutes by speedboat from Male, whose taller buildings can be seen in the distance especially at night. You can see and hear the aircraft taking off and landing at Velana International Airport but this should not put you off a great resort with a spectacular lagoon surrounding it. The lagoon is ideal for canoeing and windsurfing but is generally devoid of fish life meaning the snorkelling is not great. For that you will need to take a daily snorkelling excursion.
