Komandoo Island Resort & Spa

Komandoo is the quieter, more tasteful sister of its neighbour, the loud Kuredu. Dive sites and excursions are shared but the guests enjoy a different holiday experience at Komandoo. It is a lovely resort set to get even better, an ideal place to relax and rejuvenate.

The island opened on 13 November 1998 as the second resort in the famous Lhaviyani Atoll. Transfer by seaplane takes about 40 minutes.

Restaurants & Bars

Falhu Restaurant

Buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is in traditional style with sand floor and thatched roof. A separate table is assigned for each room.

Aqua Restaurant

Optional a la carte restaurant featuring an international menu, fresh seafood and prime meats.

The Kandu Bar

Situated by the infinity pool, with an al fresco deck overlooking the lagoon. A snack menu is available.

Thundi Bar

Located on the beach, serving favourite drinks!

Facilities

Komandoo features a freshwater infinity swimming pool overlooking the beach, as well as multipurpose athletic courts and a modern fitness centre.

Fishing excursions like big game fishing (deep-sea fishing) or night fishing (line fishing) are available, as are guided diving and snorkelling trips from the Prodivers centre.

The Duniye Spa provides a tropical spa experience for both women and men, combining Asian massage techniques and a holistic, personlised approach, all while using organic products.

How do you get to Komandoo?

Komandoo can be reached by a 40-minute seaplane journey from Male International Airport. Alternatively, guests can take a 35-minute domestic flight to Madivaru Airport followed by a short speedboat transfer.

What meal plans are available at Komandoo?

Komandoo is an all-inclusive only island. Two different packages are available: the standard package is 'All Inclusive Plus', while 'All Inclusive Gold' is an enhanced plan that offers more flexibility on dining options and other benefits. Contact us for full details.

Does Komandoo have a house reef?

Komandoo has an easily-accessible, shallow house reef that is ideal for both beginner and experienced snorkellers. It encircles most of the island at varying distances from the beach. There is a wealth of marine life to be seen, with a huge array of fish specires, turtles and moray eels spotted regularly, and even the occasional visiting manta ray. Equipment and guided tours are provided by the resident Prodivers team.
