Snorkelling
There is some reasonable snorkelling along the reef off the beach. However a better idea is to join the dive boat which goes to Mnemba Atoll where the snorkelling is superb. Equipment is available at the dive shop.

Diving
One of the best reasons for staying at Blue Bay is its proximity to Mnemba Atoll and world class diving. Mnemba is a circular reef, with aquarium conditions on the inside and some good wall-diving on the outside. Diving here is possible almost all-year round and turtles and dolphins can occassionally be seen.

Blue Bay has a highly reputable 5-star PADI dive school and they are able to offer a full range of courses for novices and experts.
The dive boat goes to Mnemba every day although departure through the reef is controlled by the tides.

Sailing
Depending on the time of the year the wind will generally be in a north-west or south-east direction. The wind tends to blow hardest in the early morning or late afternoon. Either way it is ideal for sailing.

Windsurfing & Kayaking
Windsurfers and kayaks are available for hire.
