Our Opinion

This is an elegant resort on the East coast of Zanzibar. The rooms are spacious and set in lush gardens. The main pool is large with plenty of space for loungers and all set in a lovely setting. If you want a bit of peace and quiet, there is another good sized swimming pool in the spa complex. Two bedroom accommodation is also available, making this resort popular with families as well as couples.

Summary

Baraza lies on the south east coast of Zanzibar, approximately 50 minutes by car from the capital Stone Town.

This all inclusive beachfront resort is made up of 30 Villas, all designed to characterise classic Swahili architecture, featuring dramatic arches, cement Baraza benches and intricate hand carved cement decorations.

The resort boasts a great variety of facilities, including a range of dining options, kids club, spa, pool and gym. And due to its excellent location for snorkelling and diving, there is a PADI Dive centre that caters for beginners as well as the more experienced dive centre. There is also a comprehensive water sports centre where you can enjoy kite-surfing, sailing and windsurfing.
