Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa

Centara Ras Fushi is the second offering in the Maldives from Thai chain Centara, an adult-oriented resort for guests of 12 years and over, aiming to provide a great value all inclusive package in the 4 star segment. There is certainly a lot on offer packed cleverly onto a small island (we particularly like the use of many curved lines in the architectural design), including 4 restaurants, a nice spa, over-water bar, and other facilities.

Rooms are modern in design, albeit relatively small (there is a strict 2-guest limit per room). Island rooms feature a stylish bathroom, and we liked the generous steps into the lagoon from the water villas - easy for negotiating in flippers!

There is no getting away from the fact that the island is very close to Male and surrounding industrial activities. However, all accommodation is thoughtfully designed with aspects away from Male, and with the expanse of the Indian Ocean stretching away from your room it's easy to quickly forget how close you are to the city, and if you can forgive the proximity, then Centara Ras Fushi is great value for money.
